Hotel Plinius

We are currently staying in room 502 we arrived two days ago at 10.45am and we were impressed from this moment on, really welcoming reception who took our luggage and said our room would be ready for 12.30pm. (How wonderful to have an early check in.) Less than two hours later our luggage was in our room. Wow plenty of space, fabulous bathroom, and an amazing balcony view, such a shame it isn’t possible to share our room photographs as guest photographs have a true opinion. All I can say is the photos on line are a true representation, but it is so much better, and our balcony view is fabulous. There is nothing here whatsoever to fault. Nothing has been too much trouble, they even got me a great selection of gluten free bread, rice cakes and biscuits for breakfast, so they really do go above and beyond. We are here in Como to plan our wedding, so it’s central location is perfect, we have family in the area, and are constantly in and out, I think now in day three we have probably met all the staff who are genuinely friendly. We will certainly be back as our plans finalise and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this hotel to our English wedding guests.

The room was damp and cold no extraction in the room at all so condensation in bathroom dew drops off the radiator top to bottom not good at all when questioned reception the response was to turn heating on for a short while. Breakfast was abit chaotic and poor service 1 coffee machine between about 30 people or more only to break down set up was very disorganised aswell so not impressed at all Hotel Plinius with what I paid for my stay considering were in lake Como I expected abit more as for room a twin classic more like a room in hostel I won't be booking again

My second time staying... The location and the hotel are great... And yes I will be back, so it can't be too bad. Down side... I am a slightly bigger person (comment on size are not needed 🤣). The shower cubicles are so small that they fit like a body sock... It's difficult for me to shower.... Plus side (not plus size 😁) the breakfast is brilliant... Everything you'd expect from a European breakfast is available and is fresh... A bonus, a lot of them are not. Location is probably the best location in the city - exactly halfway between the two stations. The lake is a 5 to 10 min walk... Bare in mind that I'm a slow walker. I'd highly recommend this place.
